Travel or the Echo bodge

Just before I left for a break I noted that my friends at the Echo had run a story about the potential new hotel in Saxon Square, it was highly biased towards one particular sector of the CBC economy with the catchy headline of TRAVEL BODGE. When posted on the Echo web site this piece received much attention from the public at large with at the last check over 35 comments made and what enlightened me was that everyone was in opposition to the essence of the article that the hotel should not have been given permission to proceed. In fact the citizens of Christchurch made it absolutely clear the the Echo had got it totally wrong and supported the decision made by the planning committee. Such was the support for CBC that I would have thought that a counter piece would have been penned by the journalist involved recognising or at least acknowledging that in this instance it was Echo 0 CBC 1.
