Bring on the new hotel say Christchurch citizens

Perhaps I was being a tad unkind, perhaps I missed the follow up story whilst I was away but I have now seen the Echo's piece under the above heading which highlights some of the comments from their Travel Bodge item referred to in my previous blog. It doesn't change my view much, had the reporter done any back round work on this issue the fact that support for the Hotel would have been obvious and should have directed the essence of the item to give a balanced view of the issue and consequences. What is clear is that in total those people who responded so strongly to the story were in support of the Council on this issue and considered the decision taken by the planning committee was to the benefit of Christchurch as a community. I have now finished my rant so onwards and upwards and LETS MAKE CHRISTCHURCH WORK.
