What about an 'army of ideas' ?

I received a phone call yesterday from a local businessman who has had no dealings with local politics but who has heard about what we are trying to achieve and wants to come on board. He asked how he could bring his expertise to help and this started to get my grey cells ticking over. To encourage dialogue with our business community we are arranging for breakfast meetings where we can explore mutual opportunities and come up with ideas where partnership working will help grow the community in all ways. The first will happen later this month and about thirty business Representatives will be present. However,it has occurred to me that what we need is a far wider consideration of how the community sees the future and to this end, whilst it does not impact on any of our local community activists, what would be nice would be for an 'army of ideas' as to how Christchurch should grow over the next decade and beyond. Just how I can generate such enthusiasm I am not sure but if there are people out there who want to come on board why don't we get the press to run with it and see where it leads us. Every contribution is helpful!
