Bournemouth Air Show.

Along with hundreds of craft big and small,I was on the ocean yesterday watching in awe the display by the Red Arrows. Four minutes later as they were heading for home came the report of the fatal crash and the death of the pilot. Sadness descended across the water like an eclipse and all the exuberance and excitement disappeared. I left shortly afterwards and motored back to my mooring. I am so sorry for his family and can only say that his demise followed the most incredible display that I have ever seen by these intrepid fliers. I really do hope this accident will not deter Bournemouth Council from continuing this amazing festival which brings such joy and entertainment to hundreds of thousands of people.
