What is happening to our kids?

On Thursday I attended a seminar at Bournemouth Council on tourism and the importance of this industry to the whole Wessex area. As it happens this subject is one of this new administrations key objectives and is why I have such concerns as to the local road system being able to cope with the growth that could result from an expansion of visitors. On my return to my Council office I stopped to chat with the deputy leader about this and that standing outside by the entrance to the Council Chamber. Two kids not more than 10 years old on bicycles sped over our toes and descended down the steps. Just a minute I said, did you not read the sign which says cyclist dismount? ''Shut up'' came the response, ''shut up, don't you know who I am?I am scum your worst nightmare'' To say I was astonished at the sheer arrogance and aggression exhibited from these children would be a complete understatement, but what is going to be our future as a community if this sheer disregard for any sort of authority as demonstrated by these kids attitude so disgracefully portrayed. What is that has made these children so dismissive and offensive? Answers on a post card please.
