20mph speed limit

At last something positive from the Christchurch cell of the Liberal Party (CCOTLP) they have decided to follow our lead and support the implementation of 20mph speed limit. This is really good news and something that I will be following up after the election with a great deal of enthusiasm. As it is, it is not in the power of Christchurch Borough Council to deal with any transport matter, it is for our County Councillors as since the 1st April 2010 they took control of all highways and issues pertaining. Our Liberal County Councillor for Town Centre and Purewell and Stanpit will just have to get his act together and deliver on this promise from his party members and the community. If the CCOTLP County Councillor is true to form nothing will happen at all and the rhetoric will disappear as quickly as all the other broken promises. Whilst I am on this subject the same Councillor was charged with delivering 20mph in the Wick Lane area in a minuted Planning meeting. The result? Absolutely nothing. As for the rest of the claims from the CCOTLP, the Regent Centre is now running at a profit so no tax payers money needed, no planning application has been considered in the last five years for building on flood plain/ reed beds, can I remind CCOTLP we have a housing waiting list of over 2500 families and growing and something has to be done to house them and Oh yes we are in the worst recession for many decades and we the Conservatives will not bury our heads in the sand as if nothing had changed. We get on with the job hence no increase in local or County community tax.
