Taking the higher ground.

I have had the dubious pleasure of reading most of the opposition literature and concluded that we as Conservatives are clearly taking the higer ground when it comes to looking to the future. Whereas we prioritise our local economy the opposition say nothing. Where we target crime and disorder and anti-social behaviour the opposition say nothing. Where we explain the complexities of our responsibilities for social and affordable housing and do something about it the opposition say nothing. In fact all I see from the opposition is an empty rhetoric based on a few vague promises with little or no substance. Even in the last month of this Councils term projects are being undertaken to improve Christchurch to the benefit of the residents, these having been part of the on-going management overseen by this Conservative administration. Watch this space for details later this month!
In my next blog I will explain how we 'punched above our weight' in negotiations about flood defences.
