Whose got their head in the sand?

Reading the latest missive from the Christchurch Cell of the Liberal Party (CCOTLP) one could conclude that the current economic state of this nation and the resultant effects on Boroughs like Christchurch has just not registered with them or maybe they are happy keeping their head in the sand! All the way through this clarion cry from the CCOTLP is a negativity which can only stem from total lack of understanding of the economic pressures that we as the governing party have to contend with. They appear to have lost all sight of the fact that only by innovative and sensible financial management have the Conservatives in CBC been able to maintain a balanced budget. This means that we will deliver services at the current standard with no increase in Council Tax. To do this and continue with it our heads have to be up out of the sand and active, we have to be alive to any opportunity to work smarter, more efficiently with clear objectives determined by our response to resident ideals. It is by no accident that the Regent Centre is now working at a profit it is as a result of good conservative financial direction. Our library being prepared for expansion, the shortly to be opened new children's centre in Christchurch high street, good positive projects all designed to make Christchurch a more vibrant and better place to live. And Druitt gardens? who do you think is driving this project that will deliver a fresher more open public space for residents and visitors alike. Certainly not those with their heads firmly entrenched in the sand!
