Taxi Tokens for the disabled

Reading the literature just issued by the Christchurch Cell of the Liberal Party (CCOTLP) one could easily conclude that they exist in a parallel universe. More concerning is the fabrications that they consider fit to publish and one of these relates to Taxi tokens. This matter so elegantly dealt with within the CBC budget by our team was the subject of discussions months ago when budget figures were being finalised. At no time was this Council going to be influenced by the County decision to shelve this system in it's present form and to suggest otherwise is simply outrageous. No Conservative Councillor has at any time supported the removal of this benefit and that our Chair of Resources could include it in his budget speech indicates that it was never under threat. At no time was any CCOTLP Councillor involved in any campaign to CBC about this subject and to claim that they were is to say the least opportunist. If at an early stage they had made representation about this matter then they would have known that the benefit was going to be retained. It simply did not happen in our universe!!!
