Political literature

I was delighted to read in a publication from the Christchurch cell of the Liberal party that they support the Stanpit Marsh visitors centre, the traffic calming measures in Stanpit and the Quomps Splash Park. All Conservative initiatives and projects seen through to completion despite continual sniping from the orange quarter. They might have had the grace to include the Two Rivers meet all weather facility and the skate park, the recently opened Rutland Road play area and the work undertaken at Grange and Highcliffe to provide play facilities for youngsters. Again projects seen from beginning to end by this Conservative administration.Relegated to an inner page of this amusing document is an item complaining about the threat to frontline services as a result of the top down management changes made due to the reduction in central funding despite the fact that at no time over the last three years when this was being executed was there any objection from Liberal councillors. OK we may empathise with their annoyance that this has led to us being able to freeze the amount residents pay in Council Tax for this year but such an about turn is very hard to swallow by discerning residents.
I will return to this theme as this piece of liturature needs further examination.
