More literature snippets

Being passionate about footpaths and rights of way is something I share with our friends from the Christchurch cell of the Liberal party (CCOTLP), however my passion would drive me towards the sensitive preservation of the natural beauty of some of these passages across our countryside and around our coast and harbour. So when I hear that that the objectives of the CCOTLP is to gentrify these natural places I wonder why they do not include this in the passion they elucidate in their literature. Footpaths as described above have stood the force of time, have developed naturally and despite now being subject to attack by cross country cyclists, CCOTLP included, still present a wild and natural presence for walkers and the like. Creating modern pathways using state of the art surface materials would demote these precious places and remove the essence and enjoyment of walking in natural surroundings.Rights of way are just that, they present a public right to pass and re pass. Under normal circumstances they are not challenged apart from the CCOTLP who seem on a mission to alter their special appeal.Think again CCOTLP and the next time they eulogise their passion in literature of this type, be honest and describe the outcome.
