No more negativity!

Next week sees the distribution of the Christchurch Conservative manifesto, this is a positive view of what we have achieved over the last four years and more importantly what our overall goals are for the next four. Looking forward and planning for the future is difficult at the best of times but in this economic mess left by the previous administration it is proving challenging to say the least. However as the controlling group in the Council our job is to make sure that we ensure a value for money approach to the providing and maintaining of front line services and a prudent use of our valuable resources.We cannot afford to be negative in our dealings with the tasks ahead, quite the reverse in fact as we intend to continue with innovative and progressive management of this Council with clear objectives designed to make Christchurch an even better place to live for the total span of our population. Key to this will be the encouragement to our residents to contribute to the process and be part of setting standards for their local neighbourhoods. The future is blue!
