Swan killed by dog on Stanpit Marsh

Witnesses are being called for as a result of a Swan being found on Sunday morning June 6th in a near death state. Vets later found the poor bird had been subject to an attack by a large dog following an autopsy on the body. As you are aware a 'dogs on lead' policy will apply on the marsh from 1st October and this incident highlights the need for such an action.
