Harbour Watch

I posted earlier about poachers illegally taking fish from the Harbour, what is an even greater concern is that thefts from moored craft are increasing. Reports are coming in of engines being stolen along with anything moveable being removed from craft. This is happening at night so police and bailiff patrols are being stepped up to meet the challenge. So if you are a boat owner make sure your vessel is secure and all ancillaries are locked away including small stand-by engines and navigation gear.Record all registration numbers and use markers so that any items that are stolen can be easily identified. Eyes and ears are important also so those of you who walk your dog at night by the harbour be alert please for any suspicious activity.
