Back in the fray

Many of you will know that I have been on extended leave and have just returned from South Africa a country I last visited on business in 1978. As you can imagine the changes have been remarkable and far too complex to detail here. The one issue everone asks me about since my return is about safety and crime in the country. I am pleased to say that we saw no problems although we were aware that you had to be carefull should you stray off the normal routes and drive at night. In general I was pleasantly surprised considering the bad press the country gets. I will say that where ever we went in towns and villages the streets were clean and the people very friendly. So enough of that I am now back in the real world and facing the various challenges. The first one is the Rosie Havers crossing which I am now battling with to ensure that we maintain the parking areas outside the shops. The next is the Stanpit calming alteration which to my amazement is still not finished. These can be discussed at my surgery on Saturday at St Johns Church from 10am should you wish to raise any issues.
