Surgery on the 4th Jan and stuff.
As I get older I have noticed how quickly Christmas's come and go. One minute you are watching fireworks in November and then wham you are straight into Christmas, the turkey disappears and Boxing day comes and goes. As quick as a Tommy Cooper trick the new year is on us and we begin the whole cycle again. Where does the time go? Well I know how fast it went yesterday at the Mudeford Men's Club Boxing day auction! This annual open day event attended by the Mayor and his party raised nearly £2000 for local charities from the auction of stuff donated by local businesses and residents.A great day which I have had the privilege of contributing to for as long as I remember. The club full to bursting, kids and families dancing, the whole village it seems coming alive and a great time being had by all. The whole day a credit to the committee and members of the Club who dedicate one day of their Christmas to raising money for charity. Well that's enough about Christmas so lets look forward to the first surgery of the year at St Johns church at Purewell on Jan 4th. As I am away for a break Cllr Lucy Filer will be officiating so why not pop in to have a chat at 10am till 11am. There is certainly a great deal going on what with the various public consultations that are about including Stanpit Marsh and SMP2.
