Purewell and Stanpit PACT panel

It is really gratifying to see our PACT panel working so well. At the recent PACT meeting two new priorities appeared namely problems about social housing and safety issues caused by overhanging trees and hedges.I was delighted to see that both of these issues have been actively pursued by our panel and have gone into the sausage machine for action.Taking the safety issue first, sites have been identified and passed to CBC.As far as the housing issue is concerned this has also been tackled by the panel in a very pro-active way and details being prepared for the next meeting. All the other on-going issues are still on the agenda and our street corner meeting proving very popular with the neighbourhood. We can be very proud that our PACT team is leading the way as far as finding crime and disorder issues which used to blight our ward some two short years ago and affect residents well being. Today we are a safer community and I would like to pay tribute to all those who have given their time and embraced the partnership concept of neighbourhood involvement in making this happen. No complacency though there is still a great deal to do.

Thank you for the kind words Councillor. The PACT panel is regularly listening to the concerns of our local residents, and we are constantly trying to address some of the minor issues that come to us from our Street Corner meetings in various locations of the ward, and also the local issues that we hear about from the monthly surgery in which our two councillors kindly allow us to share the room with them.
