Partners and Communities together.... DUNK ! ! !....

At the magnificent 'Fit Christchurch day' event yesterday, held at the Quomps, I attended resplendent in my new black 'Partners and Communities Together' t-shirt and very fetching track suit to see what was going on. I was amazed to find a plethora of organisations from martial arts to massage, the biggest obstacle course in the world, fencing displays, world record attempts and the infamous DUNK TANK! Guess who ended up being dunked again and again by energetic ankle biters from various schools across the Borough. You got it in one, much to the delight of Councillor and Mrs Hall and many Christchurch Borough Council staff, some of who actually threw balls to maximise my immersion. However I did get the satisfaction of watching the Chief Executive go through the same ordeal.Although very wet I was full of admiration of the organisers of this event the Christchurch Community Partnership, and concluded that we may well have another success story here as big as the Christchurch Food Festival.Well done to all involved and a special mention to Wilbert Smith with the reminder that I have a very long memory!!!!
