Gentrification targets by local activists.

Rumours abound that Liberal activists are targeting areas including footpaths for gentrification. Natural beauty areas in my opinion, are so valuable and becoming so rare due to this insidious creep of tarmac and lighting. Just what they hope to achieve by this is hard to understand but it would appear that this is going to be the main thrust of their locality policy for the next couple of years. Stanpit marsh would lose tremendous appeal should their gentrification process be applied and I am determined that it will not figure in the forthcoming management plan. Should you be aware of any other areas to which their attention is drawn I would appreciate notification so that protection of our natural habitat can be prioritised and what we have in respect of natural beauty can be passed on to our grandchildren un- assaulted by this urge to impose artificial surfaces, lighting and all that goes with it, where none should exist. Protection of footpaths is one thing but gentrification and the results of this process further denude us of the natural flora and fauna essential in keeping this place special.
