Ready for tomorrow.
I am hoping that the pundits are wrong about the voting turn out tomorrow. I have been urging everyone I meet on the doorstep to get out and vote not just because I want to see a change at County but because the message has to be sent to Parliament that the electorate supports democracy at all levels and that the franchise is one of the key issues of why this Country is free from tyranny.Big stuff you might think but at a time when the populous has lost trust we should send a message that we do take democracy seriously, so my thinking is that we have a greater reason to vote rather than a lesser one that just supports apathy. There has certainly been issues of honesty and integrity in Christchurch Central and I am also hoping that the electorate recognises that divisive spin is not a tool that is appreciated in this ancient Borough. My message has been simple from beginning to end of this campaign and that is we are not getting a fair deal from County and we should have Councillors at Dorchester that will stand up and fight for Christchurch. After twelve years of under representation for Christchurch Central it is time for a change. So lets all get ready for tomorrow and prove the pundits wrong.
