Onwards and upwards

The election is over, we lost to the bigger than expected protest vote and so now we all have to live with that legacy for the next four years. My team was brilliant and our campaign based on honesty, integrity and sheer hard work. Good Conservative values, but it was not to be and now we have to get on with the job of making Purewell and Stanpit an even better place to live.

Ray fought a honest and straightforward campaign. We will miss his enthusiasm and knowledge at County and Christchurch Central is poorer for his defeat.

It really is a pity that malicious stories spread to his detriment: I too as candidate in a neighbouring ward was aware of the mis-statements (to put it mildly) circulating concerning Fisherman's Bank.

It is said that the thing about democracy is that the people get the government they deserve. I am sure that Ray will show in the next four years that those Conservatives who voted UKIP really did not deserve that which they have inflicted on themselves.
