Speed Cameras in Purewell and Stanpit

Police advise that they will be out and about with speed cameras in Jan and Feb especially along Normandy and Stanpit. This following complaints that drivers are still not adhering to speed limits. As I walked to Mudeford yesterday I was again amazed at the speed some drivers were travelling at especially at the Nelson pub, which is at the end of a quite dangerous bend. Quite what we have to do to get drivers to drive with respect is a real problem.Police have also agreed to monitor again the traffic calming system at The Ship in Distress and over the next couple of weeks we will see the Police car in situe. Our local Policeman Joel Brooks advised me that all was very quiet on our patch over the Christmas period with no real ASB problems apart from minor incidents. Certainly we have seen a reversal of the problems highlighted at the 2007 elections when ASB was the biggest problem in the area. I intend to see that it stays like that for the foreseeable future.
One issue that crops up again and again is that of dog poo. I instigated a poster campaign last year which did appear to have an affect but residents report that the problem is getting bad again in certain areas. I intend to revisit this matter with a new poster highlighting the ASB nature of this problem and the fines than can be imposed.Should anyone have any ideas of further action to be taken I would certainly like to hear them. Drop me a line or e-mail please.
