Post Christmas Blues
So that was Christmas too much food, a little too much drink and not enough exercise. Family and friends depart and the house seems a little empty and the worst part, the lights and decorations have to come down, boxed and sent to the loft for another eleven months.Looking back, what a wonderful time of the year, I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as I did, great fun at the Mudeford Mens Club auction on Boxing Day and loads of money raised for local charities. A bonus was the weather, it makes a big difference seeing blue sky even though it was cold. So now onto 2009, much to look forward to despite the doom and gloom predicted by the media and much to do. My surgery starts Saturday 3rd Jan at St Johns Church Purewell. I have some targets for the coming year one of which is the crossing at Purewell Cross which I see as the best possible traffic calming system. I also want to see that the Stanpit Marsh Management Plan and the Harbour Management Plan are fully debated and joined at the hip. On top of this we have elections in June for the European Parliament and County representation so a great deal to look forward to. Happy New Year everyone!
