Local authorities snub Brown's Bin Tax

The deadline for local authorities to sign up to Gordon Brown,s latest stealth tax, taxing rubbish, has come and gone with not one of the authorities anywhere in the land wanting to commit their population to this badly thought out legislation.
The tax scheme received Royal Assent in November and without a vote in Parliament the Government aimed to introduce the system to five Authorities before rolling it out nation wide. I say that this bill supported by the Liberal Party, should now be repealed, taken of the statute books and dumped in a suitable repository.
There is little doubt that if it is not and a lookalike be introduced the incidence of fly tipping will increase to levels not seen since the 'winter of discontent'.
Liberal Councillors will have to explain just why they find this tax and the process of implementation so appealing. I for one just don't buy it. Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say!
