Purse Theft in Christchurch

For some time now we have been aware of an organised group who prey on elderly ladies whilst they shop in Charity Shops in the High Street. Over 30 incidents of purse theft have been reported and regrettably despite close attention there have been no arrests.Please be on your guard and make sure your purses are secure and your handbags are never left out of your grasp.Christchurch is a very safe place to live but we must all be security conscious and be sure we look out for ourselves and others.The Police are doing all they can to apprehend these persons and shop keepers have been alerted.I am confident that this matter will be dealt with and prosecutions will follow.
