You may be following events and have seen various letters in the Echo about the closure of this busy restaurant.I have been very active in bringing to the attention of all those that should be concerned the fact that even with a refurbished library our High Street with lose a great deal of vitality should this closure be pushed through. The combination of a busy cafe and a new library, that could be joined at the hip so to speak, is an attractive proposition especially as CBC are working very hard to bring Druitt Gardens and a new Druitt Hall into the melting pot.I have asked Councillor Alan Griffiths to write to DCC with the request that the whole subject is paused whilst we look at all the options with a much more holistic approach. So watch this space and lets all stand up for Christchurch!.
