Purewell and Stanpit Surgery

Saturday was a very busy morning and I was delighted to see so many people come to see Lucy and me at the charming St Johns church where we hold our surgery on the first Saturday of the month from 10am till noon. Subjects ranged from the afore mentioned dog attack, traffic along Stanpit and an unfortunate theft of a pet rabbit from it's hutch in Cameron Road. Why on earth someone would steal a rabbit is beyond me but the police are aware and I await their findings. One of the issues that really annoys me is that of dog poo and litter, especially along Purewell and the paths around Stanpit Marsh. Taking the problems separately I thought we had made inroads into the dog poo problem but it seams that this is becoming a problem again so I have asked Sparky to be extra vigilant in spotting irresponsible dog owners and taking the appropriate action, this might persuade these people who are all, residents to clear up the mess and think about others a bit more. Litter from fast food outlets is also bringing the area down and we are going to see if we can get some community action from the various take away shops to patrol there areas and tidy up if their clients dump containers and such in the road. Litter comes from people who have no pride in the area,if you see them stop them please.
