I am struggling to understand why Dorset County Council is so intransigent in respect of the issue of converting Kelley's Kitchen into an extension of the library.Don't get me wrong, I am a great supporter of vibrant libraries and certainly think that Christchurch deserves better facilities than we currently have but for the life of me cannot grasp why this should be at the expense of a busy High Street business like Kelly's. Especially when the extension could be achieved in spacial terms and include a newly refurbished K's K capitalised by the current leaseholder.
So many people have signed the petition to find a mutually beneficial solution to this problem and I am at a loss to understand why they are not being listened to.
Christchurch High Street need vitality also and I would be very concerned if the the matter was not resolved with the priorities of Christchurch residents being ignored.Watch this space on this issue I think we should be standing up for Christchurch.
