Conservative in action, Saxon Landing

It was heartening to see the community, Borough and County Councillors working together to resolve the issue of the replacement bridge on the entrance to Saxon Landing. Despite the insistence by County Council engineers that the existing bridge had to be removed and replaced by creating pedestrian space in the roadway, common sense finally prevailed following community pressure and a new or repaired bridge will be installed or maintained. This problem highlighted by residents taken forward by Conservative Councillors and a successful conclusion which benefits the community. Conservatives in action indeed! Well done to everyone involved including our lead member for transport whose hands on approach delivered a design and quotation for a new installation which shows considerable savings to the County purse. This is a big story covered by a few words because it indicates just how County is changing and has to change further, in its arms length dealing with this community over highway issues.

It wasn't known as Saxon Landing when it was a caravan park. It sounds like a case of marketing over fact.
