Surgery on Saturday
Following a hectic week Saturday's surgery was a chance to reflect on all the stuff going on and get down to solving resident problems. We were not disappointed as new and old attendees kept us busy. Concerns about anti-social behaviour from two areas of the ward were jumped on with action sought and obtained from our SNT. Pot holes featured and as I have just suffered from meeting one, with the result that I have had to fund two new tyres, I have every sympathy. Missives sent to County for action. I am interested to hear about County road wardens and their activities in respect of illegal parking, so any input would be appreciated. Some very good news about Saxon Square following the highly complicated and lengthy negotiations between Council and the lease holders, contracts have now been exchanged so that work can commence shortly on refurbishing the medical centre and the whole square can be spruced up. More on this at a later date. The Mudeford Quay travellers departed following some intervention from our officers, I am not at all happy as to the problems we have had this year in respect of these incursions and have called for another review of our position and action we can take to prevent this happening again. This week sees full Council for which I am preparing and then with a bit of luck a break in August. If the weather stays like this weekend I will be very happy. Finally I just want to say how great it is to have the St Johns Church so supportive of community activities. A seriously nice, good hearted bunch of dedicated people all doing their bit to make Purewell an even better place to be part of. Keep it going people. Details of the Purewell litter pick in August shortly.
