Supermarket applications.

I can expect those who visit this blog would be interested in my reaction to the Planning Committee decisions made on Tuesday. Throughout this process I have maintained that as leader of the Council I have to take a balanced view across the Borough and let my colleagues whose role it is to influence the planning team during the meeting debate, lead. I also have to support the committee whatever the outcome as I do know just how difficult and challenging making these sort of decisions can be having served on the committee for four years. It would also be premature for me to make any of statement before the Council issues official notice to the applicants. So I am sorry but, I think there is still so much at stake that I will have to continue to keep that balanced view.
