Christchurch Hospital
Early indications are that the plans for the Christchurch community hospital on show at present are being well received by our community. I think that Christchurch Conservative Councillors can take a huge amount of credit for how this has turned out. In the last administration under the leadership of Cllr Lofts we called the hospital management to task over the way they were consulting to the populous and from that meeting and others that followed a direction emerged the results of which are before the public at present. I have to give credit to the hospital management board for listening and responding as they have with a clear and practical scheme that maintains clinical facilities and maximises the use of the area for housing. I have to say that this is my personal opinion and I am aware that a great deal of water has to pass under the bridge meaning that reactions from all the community will have to be assessed. The port folio holder for the community is of the same opinion and all those people who attended the first day yesterday were of similar mind. So here is an example of how a brilliant Council can bring about positive benefits to the community.

Once again, the words 'brilliant council' from the Council Leader. It's surely not rocket science to see how this looks.
