Wow! what a weekend.

It started for me with a birthday party on Friday night and seamlessly morphed into the Jubilee celebrations. Even the dreadful weather made no difference to the stoic Brits as they/we bathed in sixty years of royal memories. And what a show was put on, absolutely brilliant! In Christchurch we unveiled the plaque with the help of a visiting pipe band from Germany, braved the rain on the Quomps and saw numerous street parties across the Borough. I went to the Mudeford Men’s Club yesterday where families were treated to a day of entertainment climaxing with the show from Buck. Palace on a huge screen. All in all a great weekend. Not sure that my liver could stand much more, so today abstinence and a bit of gardening.
