Mudeford road repair and others
The long awaited repair to Mudeford gets under way shortly and as a result the road will be closed to through traffic from Argyle Road. The last time we had such a closure was when a tree fell across the road and I can remember manning the barrier to divert drivers so as to avoid an accident. I have never heard such bad language as I carefully explained the dangers and the result was that a significant minority ignored me completely only to return five minutes later with a far greater array of expletives. I remember wondering what on earth I was wasting my time for and eventually gave up completely once what looked like an official notice was erected. And guess what, loads ignored that too! So I am going to observe events as they happen next week, certainly not try to do my community duty, and see how the chaos materialises. Hopefully the work will be executed with speed as at this time Christchurch appears to be having road works all over the place. Well done DCC maybe they are realising where Christchurch is at last!!!
