Local Enterprise Partnership

This week I will be attending the second board meeting of the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership. This organisation has now been awarded over £6 million of matched funding for investment in Dorset. Projects should be 'ready to go' requiring intial investment to unlock problems associated with land ownership or anything which is holding up development. The idea is that investments would be rolled back to the Partnership over a five year period once schemes are up and running. A list of current projects will be reviewed at the board meeting with special attention given to rural economics. My role is to represent all six Disricts and Boroughs and oversee the process on their behalf. An interesting project.
