Purewell and Stanpit PACT

Another good turnout from the neighbourhood for the PACT meeting last Thursday. Three priorities were decided which included a) problems caused by a local garage and untaxed vehicles being left in the road.b) A footpath being blocked by vehicles being serviced by the same garage and c) Cycling on pavements especially at Purewell Cross. At a later meeting with a Councillor an area was shown to be littered with plastic bags containing dogs feaces and whilst this was not discussed in the meeting our environment officers have been made aware. It seems that this is a regular route for a dog walker who is intent on creating a doggie do dump having gone through the process of picking up his dog's mess. Quite what this person or persons concerned are hoping to achieve I have no idea but the area concerned is now a complete eyesaw. Another example of people not having a pride in their community. Lets hope our team can find out who it is and deal with them.
