Quomps Splash Park

I have witnessed over the last two weeks just how positively our engineering staff can respond in a crisis. As you are probably aware the pumping system for the splash park suffered a disastrous and inexplicable failure. Over the last two weeks I have seen our team work day and night to get the system working again with extraordinary dedication whilst maintaining a delicate relationship with the projects contractors who have ultimate responsibility for the equipment, design and installation. Today I have been notified that the system is being tested for re-opening in the next couple of days. My thanks go out to the CBC team who took this matter under their wing and delivered against considerable odds the project ahead of schedule and at minimum expense to the Council. Also to show this community how well we can respond to a crisis.

Good morning - I noticed the surface of the 'Splashpark' is being removed is this being paid for by the original contractors ? (I seem to remember there being problems a few years ago) - I hope the tax payer is not going to have to fund this again !
