Cllr Bernie Davis

It is good to see Cllr Davis in at the thick of it and already getting things sorted. He has been called on in respect of planning issues, fly tipping and fluvial flooding and in each case made a real difference. Bernie has taken the Safe and Healthy port folio over from me and has attended to issues of anti social behaviour along with our excellent officer team. At present our levels of crime and disorder are as low as we have experienced over the last decade or more and it is by working in partnership with the Police, Housing Associations and other agencies that Bernie intends to keep it that way. Bernie's introduction has allowed me to take a more strategic role as there are issues pending resulting from cuts in County funding which are exercising me at present. Whilst all this is going on Homewatch goes from strength to strength with new members recruited on a daily basis.
