The 'tea bag' survey.

Well what a result! The surveys have been returned in their hundreds and the job now is sifting through all of them to extract your concerns. This is going to take some time but I will be making sure that all the issues are given attention and try to get a response to all those who asked for one. I can tell you that dog fouling featured highly in your overall concerns followed closely by cycling on pavements and footpaths. No surprises there then! What was very encouraging were the highly supportive comments from a vast majority of returns as to the initiatives we have taken over the last four years especially in the areas of crime and anti-social behaviour. Our alcohol free zone initiative has made an enormous difference to the Purewell Cross area as has the upgrading of the safety rails and crossing area. Finally and again encouraging was the numerous comments about maintaining the natural environment that is such an integral part of our ward and not gentrifying footpaths and access areas with layers of tarmac. Hopefully I can find a way, and time to respond to all who have taken the trouble to respond in such a positive way.
