NHS joint strategic needs assessment.

I am including a link to this website as I think it is very interesting in gauging where we stand in Christchurch healthwise against other Districts/Boroughs in Dorset. It might appear a bit technical but worth a look if you get a chance.

The website includes the Dorset data atlas, which is an interactive mapping tool enabling users to view JSNA indicators for Dorset in map, chart and tabular formats. There is wealth of data in these atlases.

There are also thematic needs assessments on a range of topics. Currently there are seven assessments on Demographics, Smoking, Nutrition, Alcohol, Physical activity Obesity, and teenage conceptions. Each assessment deals with two main questions: 'What do we know?' And 'what is this telling us?' Each assessment looks at the level of need and outcome, local views, services and activities, inequalities, gaps in knowledge, data and services and future forecasting.
If you have any interest in the health of Christchurch check this out!
