Oh no, not doggie do again!!

Yes my favourite subject is back on the agenda. This week I have been inundated with complaints from Livingstone Road to Baldwin Close and back again about dog owners who allow their charges to defecate on the pavement and will not pick up the resulting feces. In one case the resident counted 28 deposits in about 50 metres, now this is getting quite ridiculous after all the work we have put in over the last four years. So I went to the office in order to recharge attempts to stop this disgusting habit only to find that complaints were coming in from all over the Borough. So what has caused this sudden disregard by dog owners of our bye laws, your guess is as good as mine but, clearly the matter has to be dealt with.I want our environmental team backed up by the SNT to find at least one perpetrator so that an example can be set. And that is what they intend to do but what a waste of their valuable time and what a cost to all us tax payers to have to use officers to make dog owners have some sort of pride of place and be responsible. I hope they throw the book at the first person caught being so irresponsible. Someone asked me today if I get frustrated with Council work, actually I find it interesting, but dog mess left by irresponsible dog owners makes my blood boil!!
