Stanpit SSSI marsh Green Flag award?

If you have had the opportunity to walk the marsh recently you will have noticed how uplifted the area is as a result of the work undertaken by Countryside dept. and volunteers. The new bridges are a real contribution and the visitor centre beginning to be a real bonus to the community. We have already obtained a Green Apple award for the building and I am beginning to think that it is time to consider the whole area as a recipient of a similar award for good SSSI husbandry. Word has it that some rare breed birds are making a come back and although this is rumour this fact alone should be generating a great deal of attention. Would someone like to make a proposal to CBC?
