What a world we live in!

Yesterday I attended a briefing on the Police PREVENT program to counter terrorism. This process brings the reality of this national problem to our local area and has to be taken very seriously even though we live in a very tranquil area in respect of these issues. In essence and without going into great detail, which would not be particularly helpful via this medium, we all need to be aware of the potential threat and follow our instincts should we ever see anything suspicious and reporting whatever concerns us to the authorities. It is quite amazing how little bits of information can be put together to create a bigger picture, a bit like a jig saw puzzle.You may wonder why I have made this an item for this blog, well if you remember the latest arrests were made in Bristol and Exeter, not places one would normally associate with terrorism, my point is that those vulnerable persons susceptible to indoctrination are not just concentrated in big cities, they could be anywhere.
