CBC team clean up Monkswell Green

Well done to the CBC team that cleaned up the stream at Monkswell Green last Friday. This disgusting task was necessary because some odious person or persons had dumped highly volatile material without concern as to the effect on the neighbourhood or consideration of the damage that this practice causes to the flora and fauna, indeed the whole bio-diversity of the area. I can only hope that if residents are aware of this ever happening again that they will put a call through to CBC or get hold of Sparky so that we can re-educate the people who think this is acceptable behaviour. At the end of the day it is the residents who must decide what is acceptable to them in respect of their neighbourhood tidiness and appearance and I do not think that anyone that I have met has such a low level of pride in the place that they live that they can find what has happened here in any way acceptable. Please keep your eyes and ears open so that we can stop this awful and disgraceful dumping on our patch.
