It is sad to hear that Barry has decided for personal reasons to relinquish the post of Chair Purewell and Stanpit PACT. Barry has worked very hard over the last two or so years to make this ward a safer and better place and the community is much better for his endeavour. My personal thanks go to him for all his support of the initiatives taken to reduce crime and disorder in Purewell and Stanpit especially his enthusiastic take up of the 'street corner' meetings with our SNT. I only wish we could attract more people like Barry to contribute to our community, certainly, as now we know that our engagement process really does work.
We now seek another Chair knowing that it will be a hard act to follow.

I agree with Councillor Nottage, Barry will be a hard act to follow but maybe when he has sorted out his personal problems he might want to rejoin the fold? He is still involved with Homewatch however so that is good news.
