Bournemouth Hospital seen from a different aspect.

I have been away for a few days gaining intimate experience of Bournemouth Hospital cardiac unit. This, I have to say was not voluntary and was in no way planned as research in my role as port folio holder for a Safe and Healthy Community. The one reflection that stays with me is that if the efficiency and service of this unit is anything to go by then we should be very pleased that we have a health provider of such quality. Whilst it is never pleasant to be an emergency patient, the care and attention I received was exemplary and made an enormous difference to the fear levels associated with such a frightening experience. My sincere thanks to all those doctors, nurses, support and administration staff that were in any way responsible for overseeing my treatment and making me as comfortable as they could in such a difficult situation.
