Purewell and Stanpit crime figures

Although I may have made this point at some time before it is still worth repeating that when I was elected in 2007 the biggest concern expressed to me by residents was the effect of crime and anti-social behaviour on their well being. In the two and a half years since and following intense concentration on this subject and by working with our Police and other partners we have improved the position to a point where P&S is showing up as being one of the safest places to live in the whole Borough. If you want to check this out go to the P&S PACT blog or go direct to 'Crime mapping' put your post code into the sausage machine. Fear of crime across the whole Borough has reduced by 15% and initiatives like Homewatch and PACT thrive and are making a real contribution to community safety. Its working for the community that gets the community working.
