The average number of crimes in this area for July through to September has decreased from 244 to 195.3 (19.9%)
(compared to the same three month period last year)
Excellent news just released by Dorset Police and referred to in my earlier blog.
I think that all partners deserve a jolly good pat on the back because I think that what we are doing is working and all the Safer Neighbourhood Teams deserve praise this includes The Police,CBC, Homewatch, PACT panels, MAYO and all the agencies actively dealing with early intervention in troubled neighbourhoods and in some cases troubled individuals. A great story to take into 'Not in my neighbourhood week' see you in Saxon Square on Monday!

Thank you councillor for you kind remarks. I think this proves that community partnerships work. Mike Yates and the team from Mayo has done an exceptional job out in the field along with Homewatch and PACT, especially with the success of the "Street Corner Meetings". We cannot become complacent and we must all continue to keep our finger firmly on the button.
