New facilities at 2RM
The great news this week is that the all weather pitches and now the BMX park are completed and nearly open for business at 2 Rivers Meet. This is now a fantastic facility and from what I saw the other evening is a real winner with the BMX exponents judging by the numbers hurtling around the site (apparantly they broke through the fence!!). All credit to this conservative administration for initiating this scheme and seeing it through. When you look back at what has been achieved in two short years in Purewell and Stanpit starting with the Stanpit Marsh visitors centre then the traffic calming and especially the control of crime and disorder, it does show what can be done by doers, not talkers, who have the will and determination to react to residents wellbeing issues and are prepared to go that extra mile for practical objectives. Rosie Havers crossing to come, 2RM car park expansion to come, in fact plenty to celebrate in the coming months. We still face challenges regarding the Stanpit Marsh SSSI and we are not there yet as far as the balance between Stanpit and Mudeford Lane traffic is concerned but we are winning and our message is getting through to the whole Borough. Well done to all supporters and many thanks for your help.
