Just as I am banging the drum about the good work going on on Stanpit Marsh, especially the improvement of the bridges, up pops another award for the visitors centre. This time it wins the International Green Apple award for 'built environment and architectural heritage' Quite a mouthful but significant that the vision of our Stanpit team, and that includes all partners not just CBC, has again been rewarded. Innovation is not a word often heard in the confines of environment management, but in the case of the visitors centre it is highly satisfying that innovation has been recognised in such a way. Innovation and the same spirit of concern and responsibility
is also contained in the Stanpit Marsh Management Plan which comes to Community Service meeting in October. Lets look forward to seeing that through and maybe the odd Green Apple will fall again this time for environmental husbandry.
